There are 3 tests which need to be passed before you can obtain your full driving licence:

•The theory test
The theory test is a 50 question multiple choice test. To pass, you must answer 43 or more questions correctly within 57 minutes.
Questions are chosen at random from a bank of over 1,000 questions covering all topics related to driving.

•The hazard perception test
A series of 14 one minute video clips during which you must identify hazards that the driver needs to react to. The sooner you notice the hazard the better your scoring rate will be.
Remember our whole drive involves checking for anything that is or may become hazardous to us.
Both these tests are taken on the same day and must be passed at the same time. One pass and one failure means resitting both tests again. More info on the theory & hazzard perception tests can be found here Open in new window

•The practical test
Please discuss your practical test with your instructor before booking your test.

A forty minute test of your ability to drive safely and competently, complete two reverse manoeuvres, which you would have practised with your instructor, and possibly an emergency stop.
Prior to this test you will undertake an eyesight test, and answer two questions on the safety checks of your vehicle
The latest fees for the practical test can be found here
